Why do you not have a "Forward" key on your newsletter...as a realtor, there is information that may interest some of my clients...can do cut and paste but it would be much easier with a button...also, give you additional exposure.../RJM

Hey Barbara,

We are coming down in July for vacation with our entire family. What's your feeling for listing our condo at this time?? We are still thinking about redoing the whole unit, just because we love the location and view. New carpet throughout, new tile as well, granite countertops, entirely repainted. Just curious as to what is happening down there.

You did not follow up on the City's lawsuit over B&C's oceanfront land. As they stated from the get-go, the courts have thus far ruled that the land is and has always been B&C property.

I could cry to think what is happening to the Grand Strand area. I spent my whole life going there and visiting the Pavilion. I couldn't wait for my son now three to experience what I did along with so many others. I think what many don't realize is those that came to Myrtle Beach came out of tradition, like visiting the Pavilion and walking the street. Once the tradition is gone there will be no reason to return. I don't want huge malls. I want to spend time having fun with my family. I will probably never return to Myrtle Beach. With the rise in cost to stay for only a few nights the avg family can afford it. I guess it's time for my family to make traditions somewhere else and I'm sure alot of others will as well.

I fully agree with Parish. The average 2nd home owner is, like me, right now waiting if the insurance problem will be solved. But he cannot wait too long because his finances are slowly being drained! If nothing happens soon, another waive of second home owners will also put their condos on the market und we may very well see the number of homes climb from a one to a 2-year supply while the 2nd home owner will start leasing!
This will not only increase the number of homes on the market but also possibly effect the local economy. What hinders these boomers, after eventually selling their home (with a loss), to then explore other areas where they will rent for one or two months per year thus spending their consumer dollars in those areas? Please insurance people and legislators: Do not sit on your hands!! G. Lundie
