Golf Digest gives TPC course five-star rating
February was an opportune time for local business men to buy the TPC of Myrtle Beach.
In the May issue of Golf Digest, the TPC is listed as one of just 17 courses to earn the magazine’s prestigious five-star rating based on reader feedback.
The star ratings are done every two years, and are based on evaluations by more than 20,000 readers of the magazine. Public-access courses in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean are judged on course conditions, pace of play, service, value and the overall golf experience.
About 500 courses received 4½ stars, including 22 in Horry and Georgetown counties and six in Brunswick County.
